Gurume (cloud in Korea) Resort combines the charm and beauty of Korean traditional houses (hanoks) with the convenience of modern facilities and offers a unique healing opportunity for the body and the mind.
Gurume Resort offers seven hanoks, including two individual houses, two shrines and three pavilions, for a total of 12 rooms where guests will enjoy a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. Those seven old houses were initially destined to be submerged in the construction process of the Andong Dam in 1976 but they were eventually recycled into the resort while keeping the original design.
Gurume made a point of creating social value for its neighbors from the local community. From the beginning of its development process, the resort has collaborated with the local residents in Andong. The core staff and resources are from Andong and part of the benefits are given back to the local community.
The Resort is located on a densely forested hill offering a unique natural scenery.
