Auvergne Slow Ecotours

Located in the heart of Auvergne mountains, central France, Auvergne Slow is offering off-the beaten track ecotourism and slow tourism experiences.

Each experience is unique, depending on the moment, the season, and the special bond created between the host, Janette, and her guests. It usually features the following activities:

• discovery of the local heritage, culture‚ gastronomy and lifestyle;
• tasting of local products;
• a variety of fun activities and games;
• a simple and friendly atmosphere allowing everyone to feel comfortable.

Eco-tours last from 1h to 2h30 and are conducted in small groups for more interaction. Depending on the time of year, they are either on fixed dates (July to September) or on request (October to June).

All eco-tours can be conducted in English, upon prior request.

Cultural visit and aperitif

Have you ever dreamed of having an abbey just for you? Auvergne Slow will open the doors of the Cloister of Lavaudieu especially for you. After a special visit of this 900 year old place, you will enjoy a tasty Auvergne aperitif with local products.

About your host

Janette is truly fond of Auvergne and she loves sharing her passion with her guests.  An experienced guide and a free spirit, she moved to the heart of the Auvergne mountains a few years ago. Together with her husband, she has been working hard to renew the house of his grand-parents. They are now living  there and will soon welcome guests in their B&B.
